OFM Awards

the-recipe were honoured to be chosen to cater at the Observer Food Monthly Awards for two years running in 2009 and 2010. The latter was held at the Freemasons’ and, as usual, attracted the crème de la crème of the foodie world. Guests were greeted with canapés before the awards ceremony which was presented by Jay Rayner. Afterwards we served seasonal & hearty bowl foods of our own design as well as realising one OFM reader’s dream by recreating their Reader’s Choice award-winning recipe.


As you can imagine, the Sotheby’s fine watches sale sponsored by Mont Blanc attracted a glamorous crowd, and we can happily say is the only event we’ve run where the guests kept looking at their watch!  Highlights included a Millennium wristwatch by Dr George Daniels, one of the greatest watchmakers of the twentieth century, plus a selection of Patek Phillipe vintage items. We mirrored the decadent black and gold scheme through our own attire and accessorised accordingly; each canapé tray resembled a giant pocket watch. The canapé that stole the evening was a foie gras parfait with Sauternes jelly and roasted peach, and our French Martinis were popular as ever.


To celebrate reaching ten million customers BSKYB organised an elegant dinner at One Marylebone. The Soane Hall was transformed into a Winter Wonderland with handmade globes hanging from the ceiling. Rectangular tables gave the room an added dimension and guests enjoyed a wonderful four course dinner.

FN100 Influential Women 2011

Every year Financial News compiles the FN100 list of the most influential women working in the European financial markets. To mark the occasion in 2011 a sumptuous lunch was organised at Christie’s. Guests enjoyed a canapé reception followed by a three course meal with wines to match each course, including a wonderful Austrian Umathum Beerenauslese, the perfect complement to our rich chocolate brioche bread and butter pudding.
