The-Team

David Wolanski

David is the creative force behind the-recipe. His passion for food, eye for detail and relentless demand for flawless service keeps the team on their toes and the-recipe on the cutting edge.

He quickly cut his teeth working for Marco Pierre-White at L’Escargot before setting up his own award-winning, Café Soho. 

Even outside the office, you’ll find him living & breathing (&, of course, eating) food. His recent projects include acclaimed pop-up restaurants Rock Lobsta & English Launderette. Down-time is filled with watching  Spurs, going to gigs, snowboarding or, most recently, kite-surfing.

John Stockton

John has more than thirty years’ experience in event catering.  Following various roles within restaurants and hotels in the North, John came to London and joined Moving Venue Caterers, where he stayed for seventeen years. At MVC John gained unrivalled experience: operating at London’s most prestigious venues, developing his management skills and eventually landing the role of Managing Director. John joined the-recipe in 2010 and, armed with his wealth of expertise and established name in the industry, has set about steering the-recipe towards its vision: a seat at the top table of London’s event caterers.

Simon Wolanski

Simon takes care of the ‘business’ end and is the perfect complement to his brother’s creativity. Having progressed through his Chartered Institute of Management Accountants exams whilst working at IMG, Simon went on to start up his own car importing business. Then, in 2005, the opportunity to work with David setting up a catering business arose and he jumped at the chance. Simon brings both financial management and commercial savvy to the organisation and takes great pride in upholding the administrative side of the business, enabling the-recipe to enjoy the commercial success it deserves.

Jack Ackland

Jack is one of those chefs who lives and breathes his work (well except when he is looking after his two young children or playing for his Sunday league football team).

Since joining the-recipe in 2011 he has reignited his passion for fine dining  - taking him back to his days at the OXO Tower in the 90′s. His established career in events has taken him across the globe and has included cooking for royalty on numerous occasions.  Namely a banquet for all the European Heads of State and also Prince William’s 21st Birthday Party.

Kathryn Perceval-Price

Passionate foodie Kathryn joined the-recipe team from Rhubarb at The Royal Albert Hall in 2013. She has diverse experience working in the events industry ranging form food festivals in Manchester to  being part of some of the most high profile and exclusive corporate & charity events in London.

When not working you will find Kathryn cycling round town on her pushbike and taking in the food & music culture of the Capital.

Lucy Adams

The lovely Lucy joined us in January as a Senior Sales Manager bringing her sparkle, passion and drive to help us push sales forward at the-recipe.

With a degree in Graphic Design and a background in Restaurant and Event Management, Lucy has worked in some of London’s most prestigious venues and events from the Paris Airshow to the Queens Diamond Jubilee lunch.

A bit of a social butterfly, you can usually find her out and about but as she has just recently bought a new house you will most likely find her in the DIY section at B&Q.

Sam Fuller

Sam is an integral part of our Sales team as well as working onsite for our Events at the-recipe.

A bit of a continental, Sam has worked across London and Europe for the Admirable Crichton Group, in music events promotions, as well as at the London 2012 Olympics. 

In his spare time he likes to don the lycra (for cycling purposes only) and going to gigs and festivals.

Andreas Pseftoudis

Andreas is our no nonsense operations manager with a reputation for getting the most out of the team on events.

His industry experience spans nearly 15 years, from porter to sales manager, giving him invaluable knowledge of every section of the events he runs. 

He can usually be found in the newest street food market or watching his beloved All Blacks. He loves to travel and his Greek-Zimbabwean roots give him lots of great holiday homes!
